Driving and like chains without separate joint pins.- To facilitate the disconnection of links of chains for use in coalcutting machines &c., each. link comprises two plates a, b with bosses a<1>, a<2>, b<1>, b<2> for engaging the bearing surfaces of the cutter boxes, two of the bosses being formed with integral pins a<3>, b<3> adapted to engage in sockets formed in the other bosses, and lugs c, d are formed on the outer edges of the link plates to enable these to be secured together by a bolt c.
