Vehicle lamps, directing.- In means for direct. ing automobile lamps one at a time from the steering-gear, the stems of the usual forked lamp supports are journaled in ball-bearings carried by brackets f attached to the chassis a and are connected to flexible shafts j, the other ends of which are attached to rocking-levers h carried by spindles r journaled in bearings t secured to the front axle of the car. The levers h are adapted to be rocked by tappets i carried by the transverse steering-rod d. The lamps, in their normal positions, are held against a stop by a spiral spring surrounding and secured to the lamp stems. When the steering-rod a moves to the left, the left-hand lamp is turned by means of its flexible shaft mechanism to the left, the other lamp remaining stationary.
