Abstract

381,507. Directing vehicle lamps. DEANGELIS, L., 8, Trefann Street, ROSSI, L., 3220, Dundas Street, and FORMICA, J., 365, Northcliff Boulevard, all in Toronto, Canada. May 10, 1932, No. 13411. [Class 75 (iii).] In means for directing motor vehicle headlights with the front wheels, each headlight 11 is rotatable in a bearing 13 on a transverse support 12 and is connected to a shaft 14 provided with an arm 16 carrying a pin 22 engaging in a longitudinal slot 21 in a lever 17 connected by a link 23 with the brake drum 10 of the adjacent front wheel. As shown, the lever 17 is pivoted at 18, either directly or indirectly by means of a member 19, to the chassis and the link is connected by ball-and-socket joints to the rear end of the lever and to the rear side of the brake drum. In other forms, the lever is pivoted at its rear end and the link is pivoted intermediate the ends of the lever and to the front or rear of the brake drum, the arm 17 being reversed in the latter case.
