Abstract

260,784. Triumph Cycle Co., Ltd., and Parnell, F. G. Nov. 20, 1925. Vehicle lamps, directing.-In means for tilting motor-vehicle headlamps, the lamp bracket 9 is mounted rotatably on a horizontal strut tube 5, secured between the mudguard 4 and the radiator shell 2 or other part of the chassis, and is connected to a tube 7 adapted to be rotated within the strut tube 5. The bracket is connected to the tube 7 by the bolt which secures the headlamp to the bracket, the bolt passing with close fit through holes in the tube 7 and in the bracket through slots 12 in the tube 5. The bracket may carry a spring-pressed pad 13 to take up wear and to prevent accidental movement. The tube 7 carries an actuating lever 8, the levers of both headlamps being preferably connected within the bonnet by adjustable links 14 and arms 18 with a shaft 19 connected by a lever 15 with an operating rod mounted slidably in the dashboard.
