Abstract

172,353. Rochford, T. H. July 21, 1920. Stage and like lamps; revolving lamps; lantern glasses.-Relates to apparatus for changing the colour of the lighting in theatres, kinematographs, and the like. According to the invention, thelamps 1 are enclosed in a casing 3 and an opening 4 is made in front of each one. A frame 5<a>, in which are mounted coloured glasses 5, can be moved in a slide 6 so as to change the colour of the lighting. In theatres, the foot-lights, sidelights, and batten lights may all be arranged in this way and worked from a central control. Kinematograph lenses may be fitted with similar movable colour screens. Fig. 17 shows a rotary lamp embodying the invention.
