Abstract
172,061. Houseman, I. D. July 26, 1920. Radiators, aircraft, motor-car, and like.-Relates to means for forcing air under pressure directly into contact with the circulating-water, thereby effecting a more rapid circulation and cooling. Such means comprise a substantially cylindrical fan casing 10 with a vertically-disposed tapering extension which communicates with a pipe 13 joined at 14 to the return-water pipe 9 leading to the radiator 7. Air is admitted by an aperture in the front of the casing 10, and is compressed and driven rearwardly by a fan 11 mounted inside the casing 10 on a shaft 15 driven by a belt 4 from the engine shaft 6.
