Abstract
170,985. Sawyer, F. M. Aug. 20, 1920. Double walls.-A double slab wall is made with concrete studs cast between pairs of transverse slabs 15 which are locked to the wall slabs by lugs 14 engaging recesses 13, 18. The top edges of the recesses are undercut and sloping, and the lugs 14 are correspondingly shaped and are narrower than the recesses so that the concrete may lock them in place. The slabs 15 are of a height nearly twice that of the wall slabs, and rest on the upper edges thereof; or the construction may be inverted so that the slabs 15 are suspended by their lugs. The wall slabs are bevelled on one horizontal edge, preferably the upper one.
