Abstract

170,386. Urquhart, R. J. July 19, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Adjusting radial axles for steering.-The steering-axle is pivotally connected to two longitudinal cantilever spring members connected by transverse members parallel with the axle and centrally pivoted to the body. As shown in inverted plan, the axle 6 is detachably and pivotally secured to two longitudinal members 5 each of which mav comprise two quarter elliptic springs 16 secured to a bar 21. The side members are pivoted to two transverse members 28, 29 pivoted centrally to a frame member 32 and provided with rollers riding on members 37. The operating mechanism may comprise cables secured to eyes 39.
