Abstract

254,750. Fiat Soc. Anon. July 3, 1925, [Convention date]. Springs, arrangement of.-The rear suspension spring of a motor vehicle having the axle formed in two parts each carrying a wheel and oscillating independently under spring control, comprise vertical semi-elliptic springs secured to the axle parts, preferably near the points of articulation thereof, and connected at their ends to the frame. The axle-parts 3 are articulated to the differential gear-casing 2 which is secured to the vehicle frame, and the laminated springs 5 secured to the parts 3 are connected at their uper ends to an arm 6 on the casing 2 and at their lower ends to a fluid or other buffer 7. The springs 5 are enclosed in the body 1.
