Abstract
169,913. British Thomson - - Houston Co., Ltd., (General Electric Co.). Oct. 23, 1920. Blades have blocks 6 at both ends which fit in and completely fill grooves 8 in the blade rings. The blocks are formed integrally with the blade portions, preferably by upsetting the ends of straight blade stock. The blades may be held in place initially by tightness of fit or by spot welding and when all the blades are assembled, the whole is permanently united by brazing, soldering or the like. The structure may be subsequently machined and may have a suitable groove 9 for an expansion ring attachment to the rotor.
