Pumps with reciprocating and oscillating piston.-A valveless pump for lubricant &c. comprises a barrel 1 with inlet 3 and outlet 4 and a reciprocating and oscillating piston 5 controlling the inlet and outlet. During the suction stroke, the piston is turned so that the ports 7 in the piston are out of register with the delivery port 4; during the delivery stroke it is turned to bring them into register and enable the liquid to pass through the passage 6 and ports 7 to the outlet. The piston is actuated by an eccentric 12, the strap 10 of which carries a cross pin in which the head of the piston is revolubly mounted. An arm 11<x> carried by the strap is connected by a rod 14 to a pin 13 on the piston, so that the movements of the arm impart an oscillating movement to the piston.
