Blocks acting on drums.-A brake of the kind described in Specification 149,902 is mounted on a supporting-plate 12 having apertures therein to clear fastening-means which project into the interior of the drum. The spider 46 carrying the brake-shoe operating-rollers 29 is operated by an arm 54 provided with an elongated slot 55 engaged by a lug 56 on the end of an arm 57. The plate 12 has a large opening 22 to clear a nut which forms part of the standard equipment of an automobile, slots 25, 26, 27 to allow movement of the washers on the pivots of the rollers, and bolt-holes 13. The brake shoes 34 are mounted on pins 30, 31, 32 secured in the plate 12 and have slots as shown to engage the rollers 29.
