Doors.-In a. smoke-box or other door to which are pivoted latch members 1 connected to angles 4 so as to constitute a deformable frame and movable into and out of engagement with keepers 5, the angles in conjunction with pads 7 serve as stiffeners to the door edges. The frame is operated by the lever 6 on the lowest latch member. The door may be in one piece, or the lower part 2<1> may be hinged to the upper part to form an inspection door. In the latter, the latch member pivoted to the lower part has pin-andslot connections with the angles so that the inspection door may be opened independently of the main door.
