167,158. Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Peters, J. F.). July 30, 1920, [Convention date]. Transformers.-A transformer or the like is provided with a laminated core comprising inner and outer members 4, 5, arranged in the same plane and in spaced relation with each other so as to form a continuous passage 6 in the core, and side members 9 secured to the members 4, 5 to close the passage 6. The upper and lower yoke portions of the members 9 are provided with apertures 11 through which the cooling-medium can enter the passage 6 and circulate within the core.
