Abstract

166,012. Bell Bros., Ltd., and Kirby, M. R. May 13, 1920. Walls.-Walls are constructed. of pairs of slabs a spaced apart. The slabs are supported on foundation sills, the upper edges of the slabs being covered with caps d having projections to space the slabs and being adapted to support the roof. The slabs are preferably large enough to extend the whole height and length of the building and arranged to be disconnected Go that the building may be portable. The slabs are secured to each other at the corners by means of bolts &c., or they may be secured to corner posts or studs. Preferably the slabs, sills, and caps are bound by reinforcements l clamped together in recesses n which are afterwards filled in with concrete. Partitions are clamped to the main walls by metal straps. The slabs may be made of the refuse of coke breeze, washeries.
