Hoods. - In the hood described in the parent Specification, the stay or strut pivoted to the body of the vehicle and connected to the lower end of the lower link pivoted to the upright member of the hood is dispensed with. Thus, a hoop-stick of the front portion of a hood is connected to the upright member 2 by two links 3, 6, the lower one of which is extended downwards and its end jointed only to one end of an arm or lever 8 which has its other end pivoted to the rear diagonal hoop-stick 9 and a point about its middle fulcrumed on a strut 10 connected at its lower end to the upright member 2.
