Abstract

165,304. White, W. B. May 21, 1920. Weft forks.-The hub or bearing of a weft fork has formed on it one or more screwed studs, which pass through holes in the shank and are secured by nuts to clamp the prongs of the weft fork in position. Figs. 1 and 2 show one method of construction, in which the bearing A, having a hole a to receive a pivot pin, is formed with a screwed stud a'. A cover plate D is provided so that when the nut a<3> is screwed up the prongs are securely clamped to the shank B. The hub A has end projections to interlock with the shank B to prevent relative turning. Each prong may be made separately with one end folded over; or a double prong and a single prong may be used.
