Picks and pickaxes.-In picks or similar tools of the type in which the points or blades are made separable from the head and are attached to it by an overlapping joint, a wedge-shaped tongue on each part enters a corresponding recess in the other part, and a bolt and stud secure the parts together. The head a and the blade or point b are each formed with a tongue c having a wedgeshaped point fitting into a re cess d in the other part. A square bolt e, fitting into square holes f, is tapped to receive a screw stud h. The points may be made interchangeable.
