Abstract

255,380. Carr Fastener Co., (Assignees of Carr, F. S.). July 22, 1925, [Convention date]. Locking nuts.-Two plates are secured by a screw 10 and a nut having a head 2 held in an apertured recess 8 in one of the plates 7, a resilient portion 3 extending through the aperture. The part 3 of the nut is split and the halves are pressed together forming a tapered hole 6, the screw, when forced in, causing the nut to expand and grip the walls of the aperture.
