Abstract
162,833. Midland Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Vicary, A. W. Feb. 16, 1920. Hasp fastenings.-In fastenings, applicable for securing the hinged covers of metal boxes for electrical appliances of the " ironclad " type, in which a screw-pin c, hinged at f upon a pin or rivet on one part, engages in a slot in a lug b<1> on the other part, and is secured therein by means of a nut d, one or more holes d<2> are provided in the flange d<1> of the nut d, or in a washer, through which the bow e<1> of a padlock e is passed to prevent rotation of the nut. The flange d' is preferably circular, but may be formed, as shown in dotted lines in Fig. 4, with a series of perforated ear-pieces. The nut d may be of wing, hexagonal,. or other shape, and the flange or ear-pieces may be arranged on the body of the nut.
