Abstract

164,736. Berthier, A. V. P. M. Nov. 20, 1918, [Convention date]. Machine guns.-Relates to automatic guns of the kind having a breech-block comprising a rectilinearly-sliding front part and a knucklejointed back part which tilts upwards for locking. According to the invention, the joint comprises a convex cylindrical boss 10 and arcuate grooves 12 on the rear part 4, engaging, respectively, a cylindrical recess and arcuate ribs 18, Fig. 5, on the front part 6. The extractor 30, Figs. 3 and 5, is mounted on the front part.
