Lubricant conveyed by mechanical means.- Axles of coal-tubes and like vehicles are lubricated by a chain a carried by a moving block b mounted by levers j, j<1> on a lid d secured to an oil-trough (not shown). The block is depressed and moved endways by passing axles, and afterwards returns to its normal position by the action of a spring p carried on a bar o attached to the block b. The lower end of the chain is guided by a yoke q attached to the bar o. A sliding bracket n mounted on the bar o is secured to a lever m pivoted to the lid d. The pivots of the levers j, j<1>, m may be adjustable in slots in the lid d.
