Abstract

163,106. Fekete, S. I. Feb. 10, 1920. Cylinders, cooling. - Blocks of cylinders with lateral sockets each containing an exhaust valve 15 are cooled by water admitted to the common jacket A by a pipe D on the opposite side of the cylinder whence it is directed mainly towards the exhaust valve-casing and flows through holes 43 in the top of the jacket into the head B, finally escaping by a branched outlet C. The remaining water rises through holes 33 into the head and sweeps around the casing of the admission valve 18 on its way to the outlet C.
