Motors, gearing for. - A winding-drum a or other driven part of an electric motor carries the field coils b and is connected to the armature shaft d through epicyclic gearing comprising double bevel pinions f, i fixed on a shaft g carried by the winding-drum and gearing respectively with a pinion e on the armature shaft and a bevel wheel j, which may be held stationary by a brake acting thereon. ln a modification spur gearing is employed, the planet-pinion shaft carried by the drum being parallel to the armature shaft.
