Inhalers and respirators. -Consists in using the valve control mechanism of the parent Specification, wherein the supply of nutritive gas is automatically controlled by movements of the breathing bag itself, to control the rate of flow of gas from a nutritive gas storage chamber g to a breathing bag e during the time elapsing after the commencement of delivery of gas from an oxygen &c. generating chamber a until that chamber is delivering at its maximum rate, or at any time when the rate of supply from chamber a is insufficient to meet the demands of the moment. Withdraws of air from a face-piece attached at c diminishes the pressure within the breathing bag e and, if the generator a is not supplying gas sufficiently quickly, the diminished pressure in e, as described in the parent Specification, opens the valve leading from the chamber g. The Specification also states that the rate of flow of the auxiliary nutritive gas may be controlled by direct manual pressure on the valve control lever or by indirect action by means of a cord pull or equivalent device.
