Inhalers and respirators.-Comprises the use of the valve-operating mechanism described in the parent Specification for controlling the rate of supply of nutritive gas in diving apparatus of the self-contained gas-supply type. An oxygen storing flask a and a compressed air store bare connected in the manner described in the prior Specification to a breathing bag e which is contained in a portion of a casing q, the other portion of which contains a regenerating apparatus f. On sinking, the air in the helmet l of the diver's equipment is compressed. This compresses air in the casing g surrounding the breathing bag, the helmet and casing being connected by the tube k. The breathing-bag thus tends to collapse, and in so doing opens the valves c and d, admitting air and oxygen to the bag e and thus re-filling the helmet and other portions of the diving equipment.
