Abstract

161,313. Siemens Bros. Dynamo Works, Ltd., and Crowley, J. F. Jan. 15, 1920. Motors, gearing for. - Adjustably-mounted geared electric motors are provided with supports engaging on the hinged side of the motor at or close to the end shields. Fig. 2 shows a standard 9 having an adjustable spur-wheel bearing 11 and an adjustable seating-piece 17 supporting the hinge 5 attached to the end shields 2 of the motor, secured by bolts 18. The spindle 5 is secured by the claw piece 19 operated by the screw 21 and the web 20. The supporting-members may occupy alternative positions by the provision of additional bolt-holes, or a light casting may be provided to carry these members and the casting adjustably mounted in a vertical direction.
