Abstract
477,368. Wringers. SOUTHERN, D. June 29, 1936, No. 17941. [Class 138 (ii)] A wringer 64 is secured to a casing 12 which houses the reduction gear driven by a reversible electric motor 63 also secured to the casing. The latter is provided with an angular flange engaging a corresponding recess in a split ring 41 whereby, on slackening a bolt 53, the casing, wringer and motor unit can be swung about a vertical pivot into any position and locked therein. The ring is carried by a bracket 43 secured to a washing-machine 55 which may be constructed as described in Specification 473,022. The drive is operative in all positions of angular adjustment and comprises a worm and worm wheel, the worm shaft being vertical and aligned with the vertical driving shaft of the motor. The switch for the motor is mounted on the casing 12.
