Abstract

161,084. Myers, C. T. May 20, 1920. Dust, preventing rising of.-A collapsable stream-line air-deflecting tail B for attachment to the rear of a motor vehicle &c. comprises a flexible cover supported on hoops B<2>. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, the tail is extended by the admission of air through openings C which are closed by shutters D operated by a cable E,. the tail being collapsed by a cable G attached to the extreme end thereof. The tail may also be collapsed and extended by spring, lever, or lazytongs mechanism.
