Abstract

Bonnets of the flexible slat type are constructed of a number of stiff metal strips N hinged together and running in guides on the radiator V and dashboard. There are two sections which roll up on spring-actuated spindles arranged under a fixed weatherproof shield S running centrally of the car between radiator and dashboard. The sections are pulled down into the closing position against the springs, and are retained by catches.
