Abstract

282,942. Charstone, W. J. Nov. 5, 1926. Hoods. - In a vehicle having rigid side frames a flexible cover adapted to run in runways on the top of the side frames is secured to hinged rods g at each side connecting brackets e carrying rollers f adapted to run in the runways. The runways comprise each two channels a arranged as shown and carrying between them rollers over which a wire c or cable may run, which wire passes over additional rollers k and is driven from a drum adapted to be driven from the engine or by hand. The flexible cover when in position to cover the car is held in position by a spring pawl engaging a rack i and the cover provides a weatherproof at the sides.
