Abstract

160,513. Pickard, W. Dec. 16, 1919. Hand-grip wrenches. - In adjustable wrenches of the kind in which a pivot pin on a trough-shaped handle such as e, Fig. 1, engages a number of holes connected by slots in a shank b, the pivot pin a is fixed to the handle e and is round for a part a<1>, Fig. 3, of its length, and flattened for the remainder a<2>. The round part a<1> is slidable along a recess g extending substantially half-way through the shank b, and the flattened part a<2> is adapted to engage one of the holes f formed through the bottom of the recess in the normal position, and to slide through the connecting slots d to another hole when the handle is turned at right-angles to the shank.
