Abstract

160,056. B.S.A. Guns, Ltd., and Norman, G. Jan. 28, 1920. Breech actions, sliding breech-block.-Relates to boltaction rifles of the kind having forward resistance lugs sliding during the reciprocation of the bolt in grooves in the sides of the breech-body, and having one of the grooves interrupted by the receiver mouth extending down the side of the body to form the ejection opening. According to the invention, one of the lugs on the bolt is formed with a rib 4, Fig. 4, adapted to engage a corresponding groove 6, Fig. 2, on the breech-body at the side which is cut away for the purpose of guiding the bolt past the interruption in the groove.
