Abstract

159,678. Dubreuil, G. Dec. 16, 1919. Guarding against unauthorized use.-The steering-member of a motor vehicle, cycle, or an aeroplane is locked by moving a pivoted link e between lugs f<1> so that a pin h may engage, with a hole e<1>. The pin is carried by a boss g projecting laterally from one of the lugs so that it is enclosed and can only be manipulated for unlocking by a special key shaped to engage an end of the locking-bolt. The lugs and link are respectively carried by the guide-tube and steering-wheel members. The locking-pin h may be screw-threaded, or the bolt may be resiliently mounted so as to engage automatically with the perforated link e.
