String-cutters; folding knives. - In a knife, for cutting the ties or bindings of sacks, in which the blade is provided with a blunt guard or thickened point, the blade b is rigidly connected in a hook-like manner to, and is directed towards, a stem or handle portion d. The bulb or guard c is formed integrally on the blade or on a separate member d<1> to which the blade is attached. The blade may be removably connected to the handle. According to the Provisional Specification, the knife portion may be pivotally connected to the stem or handle portion. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 2206/06.
