Securing rotors on shafts.-The rotor 6 is secured to the shaft 5 by means of a ring 12 shrunk on and keyed to the shaft and having integral tongue-pieces 10 dove-tailed into the bore of the rotor in staggered relation to an equal number of keys 13. The bore of the ring 12 is recessed under the tongue-pieces. In a modification, two rings 14, 9<a> are used, and are secured in place by two series of dovetailed keys 16, 17.
