Chain and like gearing, variable-speed.-A bicycle has a gear-wheel 6 fast to the crank-axle and a gear-wheel 7 coupled by a chain-wheel 8 and chain 9 to the hub. An angle bar 12, secured to the member 1<1> of the frame by a clip 13 and to the bottom bars by a clip 14, carries a projection 16 upon which is journaled a gear-wheel 15 coupled by a second chain-wheel 17 and chain 18 to the hub. The wheel 15 is out of alignment with both wheels 6, 7. A gear-wheel 19 twice the thickness of the gear 6 may be moved by a lever 20 to couple the wheels 6, 15, or 6, 7 so obtaining a change of speed.
