Abstract

158,422. Chatfield, S. W. Nov. 21, 1919. Hinge pins of barrel hinges for doors and like members are formed with an oil cup communicating through a small-bore hole F with a helical groove E extending to the bottom of the pin, whereby the hinge may be lubricated. The cup D<1> may be provided with a cover, and the lower end of the hinge pin is preferably seated in the lowest hinge socket to prevent escape of lubricant.
