Hinge pins; hinges readily separable about hinge pin. -Relates to hinges of the kind in which the adjacent faces of the barrels are out of contact, and in which the bearing-surfaces of the hinge consist of a conical part of the hinge-pin and a conical socket in one of the barrels. The pin c, screwed in the barrel a of the upper flap, is provided with a conical part c<1> and a lower screwed part c<4> having a washer d and nut f, by which the conical part c<1> may be adjusted in a conical socket b<1> formed in a lignum-vitµ liner g in the socket b of the lower hinge flap. To prevent accidental loosening of the nut f, the screw part c<4> may be flattened on one side, and the hole in the washer d may have a similar flat to cause the nut and washer to rotate together. The pin is provided with a cylindrical part c<3> above the conical part c<1> engaging in a cylindrical recess in the barrel a. The lignum-vitµ liner g is soaked in oil to lubricate the pin.
