Mountings.-Relates to driving and transmission gear for electrically operated gun turrets or mountings of the kind having main and auxiliary motors driving through planetary gearing, and means by which the motors can operate singly or simultaneously. According to the invention, the main motor shaft f rotates the driven shaft f<1> through two sets of planetary gears h<1>, h<2> mounted in a cage k and differing by, say, one tooth. The auxiliary motor c drives the cage direct through gearing q. The arrangement is such that a larger reduction in speed is obtained for the auxiliary motor drive than for the main motor drive.
