Abstract

155,084. Moulds, E. Oct. 27, 1919. Vices.-A vice is constructed so as to be adjustable universally by forming it integral with or attaching it to a concave spherical part A, the interior spherical part B of which bears on a spherical bearing surface D on a base member C. A pin R is provided for holding the vice in the normal position, and by removing this pin, the vice can be adjusted to any desired position and clamped therein by a spherical clamping member F which engages a spherical bearing surface on the interior E of the member D. The clamp F is actuated by a bolt H fitted with a nut K for taking up wear, and with a tapered hole in which moves a cotter I actuated by a thread P and nut Q, or by a cam and lever, to lock the vice in any desired position.
