Abstract

Connexions; cells.-The terminal contacts j, k are removable without disturbing the nuts g or adjacent parts of the terminals. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the nut g is provided with a bush l having a flange n which holds the contact j in position. The contact can be removed by first withdrawing the bush l from the nut g. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, the contact k slides loosely in the nut g but may be permanently fixed to the spring i which rests loosely on the electrode lug a. In both forms, the electrode lug is provided with a flange e which compresses a washer f against a cup c fixed to the cover d. A tubular member s prevents lateral expansion of the washer f. The cup c and nut g may be filled with grease.
