Abstract

164,235. Oldham, G., and Oldham, J. June 4, 1920. Cases.-A battery case particularly for use with an electric lamp is provided with a screw-down switch h and a spring-plunger contact s for cooperation with the battery terminals. The switch comprises a threaded metal stud g carrying a spring k and disc j at its lower end. The stud passes through a metal bush f secured to the metal case b. The spring contact s is carried by a sleeve r which is clamped by a screw cap n in a recess in an insulating block e carried by the casing. A metal ring q is clamped between the cap n and block e and is connected to an insulated wire w leading from the battery casing. The second lead may be formed by a flexible metal tube y connected to the lid of the casing b.
