Abstract

148,012. Lemaire, E. May 8, 1919. Battery lamps. - In a miner's electric lamp a metal ring 14 screws into the casing 9 and serves to conduct the current from one terminal 7 of the battery to the casing of the lamp and also to hold the insulating disk 10 in position. The battery terminals 7, 7<1> are attached by springs 6 to metal pieces 5 screwed or otherwise attached to the electrode lugs L. The terminal 7' makes contact with a metal disk 13 which screws into a metal cup 26 to which is soldered a spring 24 carrying a metal cup 22 with which the central terminal of the lamp engages. The circuit is completed by a switch comprising a screw 17 adapted to engage a metal plate 19 connected by a wire 21 with the lamp socket 11. The plate 19 is situated in a chamber formed by the disk 10 and casing 9. The switch may be arranged vertically or horizontally. A magnetic lock 28 and a filling-plug and gas exit 27 are provided.
