Abstract

154,375. Sinclair, H. March 15, 1920. Supports. - The stand G of a motor-cycle is locked in the operative position by means of a rod D which passes through a casing containing a spring-pressed bolt T, Fig. 7, or other locking- device. In the arrangement shown, the casing is secured to the frame C of the cycle and the rod D is jointed to a rod E pivoted to the stand G. When the stand is lowered into the operative position, the bolt T engages a notch V in the rod D, and the stand is locked in position until the bolt is released by a key or other appliance. In its inoperative position, the stand is held by a clip Y on the mud-guard Z. The lock may be carried by the stand and the locking-rod by the frame.
