Abstract
154,212. Morant, H. C. F. Nov. 22, 1920. Continuous apparatus for daylight development and like treatment of roll-films.-The apparatus contains two or more liquid receptacles and means operated from outside the tank for immersing or depressing sections of the film in the solution. The disk or tank 1 may be wholly or partly of non-actinic material, or may have non-actinic apertures 24 through which the film F may be illuminated, or may be fitted with non-actinic lamps 25. The cover 21 is fitted with a hinged lid 23 over a non- actinic transparent slide 22 through which the illuminated film can be viewed. The tank may be divided into sections by partitions 2 and the film immersed in the baths by wire frames 20 shaped so as to engage the films at the edges and mounted on shafts 18 which are turned from outside. The spools 5, 6 are mounted between a fixed pin at one side and a spring-pressed coupling pin 14 at the other side, the latter being turned from the outside to draw the film from the spool 5 to the spool 6. The sections of the film are immersed in the baths as required. The tank may be mounted on rocking ledges 26.
