567,200. Photographic developing tanks. THROWER, A. H. Jan. 12, 1944, No. 647. [Class 98 (ii)] A developing tank for the processing of direct colour films comprises a rectangular box having a light-proof and removable lid, means for supporting the film above and parallel to the bottom of the box, an inlet for developing and other fluids at one end of the box, and an outlet for the fluids at the other end of the box. As shown, the box 10 of " Bakelite " (Registered Trade Mark) or other material has a light-proof removable lid 11 running the whole length of the box and an inlet orifice in one end and an outlet orifice 13 in the other end. The inlet and outlet orifices are connected to a container 14 for the developing and other fluids by rubber tubing 15, a bulb 16 and valves 17 being provided on the inlet side of the box so that the fluids may be circulated between the container and the box. The film is supported parallel to the bottom of the box by clamps located one at each end of the box and consisting of two steel plates carried by a threaded pin, clamping pressure being applied by a knob. The lid 11 is removed to permit of the reversal exposure.
