Abstract

After treatment with sulphuric acid, minerals oils are mixed with about 15 per cent of a sulphonated fatty oil such as sulpho-castor oil in order to remove the sulphoacids from the mineral oil. The sulphonated oil may be added with the alkali, or before or after its addition.
