Abstract
1534686 Capacitors; RC units MFD CAPACITORS Ltd 23 Jan 1976 [23 Jan 1975] 2935/75 Headings H1M and H1R In a wound or stacked metallized dielectric capacitor wherein electrodes of opposite polarity extend to different end faces of the capacitor body for electrical contacting involving, e.g. a Schoop sprayed metal coating, the portions of terminals applied to said end faces are of web (Fig. 4C) or mesh (Fig. 5B) construction, being secured by further spraying of the same or a different metal. The terminal may interconnect two flattened wound capacitor units 32 and a parallel resistor 34 stated to be voltage dependent (Fig. 5C, not shown). Figure 4F illustrates a coaxial arrangement wherein the outer periphery of the web 30 has been previously secured to a conductive shell 28. The terminals provide lower inductance and improved heat dissipation.
