Abstract
152,700. Baker, W. E. April 12, 1919. Ironing-machines; returning work to front.- Relates to work troughs or carriers for returning work from the delivery side to the feeding side of ironing-machines of the Decoudun or similar type, as described in Specification 15460/09, and consists of two tracks formed of inclined members D, E arranged one at each end of the machine so as to extend over the roller, and a work trough F fitted with rollers G, G<1> running on the two parts of the track, the trough being turned up as it reaches the feeding side, as shown in Fig. 3. In one arrangement, the tracks are provided with sockets C<1> secured by set-screws to upright rods B adjustably mounted in brackets A, which are secured to the delivery table. In another arrangement, rods B supporting the tracks are adjustable in sockets C<2>, Fig. 2, on horizontal rods H adjustable in brackets A mounted on the radial lifting arms J, Fig. 3, of the roller K of the machine. In a modification the tracks are adjustable on the brackets by slots and bolts. The work-trough is splayed or rounded as shown to permit the steam to escape upwards from the roller.
